Bicycle Motocross (BMX) is a sport that takes on two meanings: 1) Off-Road Racing on man-made tracks and 2) On-or-Off-Road Tricking at slow or fast speeds.
The List:

1. BMX Bike
A BMX Bike is a bike that is designed for both racing and doing tricks. It has great features for either style of BMX. For racing, the bike is lower to the ground so that the rider is able to stand higher on it and get more power and therefore speed in to every pedal. Also some BMX Bikes come with trick pegs on the front and rear wheels so that the rider can stand on them and do some really sweet tricks.

2. Cleats/Shoes
Depending on the type of pedal your BMX Bike has, you will need either Cleats or just regular Shoes. You would only need to buy Cleats if you have the pedals that fit them.

3. Helmet
Crashing on a bike is not fun. Crashing on a BMX Bike going off of a vert ramp is terrible. Stay protected with a Helmet and still be careful while riding.

4. Air Pump
An Air Pump is exactly what it sounds like: something that takes air from one place and puts it into another. Use a pump or compressor often to fill your tires when you are home so that your tires work properly and you stay incident-free.

Optional Accessories:
1. Water Bottle with Cage/Water Pack System
Staying hydrated is one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy, especially when you are exerting so much energy cycling. Make sure to bring some water along on your ride so you can ride as far as you want without dehydrating.

2. Speedometer
A Speedometer is by no means necessary, but it just makes your whole ride so much more fun. The Speedometer I use shows a ton of information that keeps me entertained when my surroundings don’t.

3. Bike Lock
A properly locked up bike will save you from having to buy another bike. Bottom line.

4. Multi-Tool
The Mult-Tool you choose should be relative to your bike; if you need Allen Wrenches, get Allen Wrenches, not random screwdrivers and mini knives.

5. Extra Inner-tube
A flat tire in a car is not fun, a flat tire on a bike is really not fun, and a flat tire on a bike twenty miles away from where you started is really, really not fun. So bring an extra tube and throw those potential headaches away.

6. Frame Pump
A Frame Pump works in conjunction with the Extra Inner-Tube. When you need extra air, a good Frame Pump will do the trick, it just may take longer than you want it to.

7. Seat Bag
Keeping your cell phone, ID, keys, etc together is quite a task if you do not have a Seat Bag. It is simply a small bag designed to fit just under your seat and big enough to hold all of your stuff.
